This class is designed for experienced racers who want to take their racing to a new level. This is a fast-paced, challenging class focusing on sport boat handling and racing strategy and tactics. Learn how to nail your starts and keep your opponents under control. You’ll practice the finer points of efficient upwind sailing—roll tacks, playing shifts, transitioning between accelerating and pointing. You’ll get dozens of repetitions of a variety of sets, douses, and mark rounding techniques, increasing your gains at the top and bottom of the course. Situational tactics, race strategy, and rules will be discussed and practiced in depth. There are no set prerequisites for this course, but the more racing experience you have, the more rewarding the class will be.
