This is a fun, physical class for sailors who want to get into racing or who have racing experience but aren’t yet comfortable skippering a boat around the buoys. Taught on the J80’s, you’ll experience sport boat thrills with forgiving stability. You’ll learn every aspect of sailing a boat around a race course from start to finish, as well as gain a thorough understanding of every position on the boat from helm to bow. Tactical principles and racing rules will also be covered. This class will give you the confidence you need to get out onto the race course and start racing, beginning with a regatta here at JWorld on your last day of class in which you can put your skills to the test against other J80s.
